Introduction

The programme is designed for those who have a prior qualification in dentistry, dental therapy, dental hygiene, or dental technology, and introduces a pathway to research knowledge and competencies required to practice in the UK as a dentist or dental care professional.

The overall educational aim of the MRes programme is to provide graduate students with knowledge and understanding of UK practice, conduct research and audit of relevant aspects of the profession, training in appropriate technical skills and scholarship skills, such as critical thinking and the capacity to write in the style of their discipline, along with advanced study in areas of their discipline.

Course Requirements

Applicants should hold, or expect to obtain, a Bachelor Degree in Dentistry, Dental Therapy, Dental Hygiene or Dental Technology.

The IELTS and TOEFL standard of English Language levels listed below are applicable to all postgraduate courses. The table also lists the equivalents from other test providers.
